How to judge the operation effect of intermediate frequency furnace according to the sound?

Oct 29, 2022

As metal smelting equipment, medium frequency induction furnace is easy to control smelting quality because of its flexible and simple operation; The advantages of fast smelting speed and high production efficiency are loved by many foundry manufacturers.

When the intermediate frequency furnace is in use, the sound from the machine can be used as a basic condition to judge the operating state of the intermediate frequency furnace. So, how can we judge its working state from the sound of the intermediate frequency furnace? Luoyang Shen Nai came to introduce to you.

1. Normal operation state of the intermediate frequency furnace: when the intermediate frequency furnace is working, the alternating frequency of the power supply will naturally cause vibration and generate whistling sound, which indicates that the intermediate frequency furnace is in good working condition and operates normally. This is the favorite sound heard by the production personnel and maintenance personnel of the intermediate frequency furnace.

2. Power supply noise of intermediate frequency furnace: when the intermediate frequency furnace is running, the reactor coil in the power supply emits noise, which is abnormal. The reason may be that the coil fixing bolts of the reactor in the power supply of the intermediate frequency furnace are loose during installation or use, causing the power supply to make a dull sound.

3. Induction coil noise of intermediate frequency furnace: it sounds like "poop poop". This noise is often caused by inter turn short circuit of induction coil of intermediate frequency furnace, which causes inter turn ignition. This situation is very dangerous! The existence of coil noise for a long time will cause the coil copper tube to be broken down, causing water leakage and furnace penetration, with very serious consequences! Therefore, turn to turn insulation of intermediate frequency furnace coil must be well done.

4. The noise at the bottom of the intermediate frequency furnace: It sounds like "Pa pa". This sound is usually made by the quartz layer at the bottom of the furnace, accompanied by white smoke. This situation indicates that the quality of refractories and quartz sand materials at the bottom of the intermediate frequency furnace is poor: the purity is not enough and the moisture content is too high. It can be solved by changing the furnace bottom materials.

5. The sound made by the intermediate frequency furnace when melting waste metal: this sound "crackling" sounds very noisy, but it is a good phenomenon for users. Because this is the discharge sound generated between metals during heating, it indicates that the medium frequency furnace has high melting power and operates normally.

The above is the "relationship between the operation of intermediate frequency furnace and sound" summarized by Luoyang Shennai according to the actual situation. I hope it can help you master the habits of intermediate frequency furnace and better use it.
